Salted Caramel Chocolate Shake

This beauty is a creamy, chocolatey, caramel joy, perfect to cheer up any day. And fruit free for a change. It’s also lovely as a warm smoothie by heating the milk gently before, or whizzing it up and putting in a pan.

Cacao ย is a mineral rich superfood that fills you with powerful antioxidants. Pecans are full of protein and healthy fats with loads of Vit B3 a massive booster that acceses energy from food. With a hint of pink Himalayan salt as an added boon. My 3 can’t get enough. With a sprinkle of Cacao nibs – they’re quite bitter for little people- on mine for a lovely crunch. Keep a stash for freezing into lollies too.

Ingredients

  • 2 Cups Almond Milk
  • 2 tbsp Cacao powder
  • 2 tbsp pecans
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 2 medjool dates
  • 1/4 tsp Pink Himalayan Salt (or good sea salt)
  • handful of ice

  1. Wow. I was wanting a chocolate hit so decided to throw this together. Utterly scrumptious. Proper choccie milkshake. Just what I needed. Everyone should make this. I didn’t have pecan but had salted and roasted almonds and just omitted the Himalayan salt. Super quick and totally delicious. Thanks Lizzie. You are a genius.
